Apple on Tuesday unveiled the iPad Pro (2024) as the company’s latest flagship tablet. The latest iPad Pro features a “Tandem OLED” screen – a first for the company since the previous-generation “Pro” model launched two years ago with Mini-LED technology. The iPad Pro (2024) is available with 11- and 13-inch displays, with narrower bezels than the company’s 2022 model. It’s powered by the Apple M4 chip, offers up to 2TB of storage, and runs iPadOS 17 out of the box. During the Let Loose launch event, the company also announced the launch of the Apple Pencil Pro and the modern Magic Keyboard for the modern iPad Pro .
iPad Pro (2024) price in India, availability
iPad Pro (2024) prices in India start from Indian Rupees. 99,900 for the base model with 11-inch screen and Wi-Fi connectivity, while the Wi-Fi + Cellular variant is priced at Rs. 119900. Meanwhile, the 13-inch iPad Pro (2024) model is priced at Rs. 1,29,900 and Rs 1,49,900 for the Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + Cellular variants respectively.
Apple says the modern iPad Pro will be available in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB capacities. The 11-inch models are priced at Rs 150. 99,900 (256GB), Rs.1,19,900 (512GB), Rs.1,59,900 (1TB) and Rs. 1,99,900 (2TB). Meanwhile, the prices of the 13-inch iPad Pro are as follows: Rs 1,29,900 (256 GB), – Rs 1,290. 1,49,900 (512GB), Rs 1,89,900 (1TB), Rs 2,29,900 (2TB).
The newly announced Apple Pencil Pro is priced at Rs. 11,900 while the modern Magic Keyboard costs Rs. 29,900 (11 inch) and Rs. According to Apple 33,900 (13 inches).
In the US, iPad Pro (2024) prices start at $999 and $1,299, and pre-sales of the device start today. The price of Apple Pencil Pro is $129.
In 2022, Apple launched the iPad Pro (2022) with 10.9-inch and 12.9-inch displays with prices starting from Rs. 81,900 and 1,12,900 respectively.
iPad Pro (2024) specifications.
This year, Apple equipped the iPad Pro (2024) with the latest 10-core M4 chip, making it the most powerful tablet introduced by the company to date – even the company’s MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models run on M3 chips. The company claims that the M4 chip provides the same performance as the M2 chip used in the iPad Pro (2022) model, while using only half the power. Apple also says the latest iPad Pro model has improved the neural engine for AI tasks on the device.
iPad Pro (2024) models come with 11- and 13-inch displays. Both models are equipped with modern Apple Tandem OLED screens with a refresh rate of 120 Hz (ProMotion), a maximum brightness of 1000 nits, True Tone support and a wide P3 color gamut. Apple says the modern Ultra Retina XDR displays have an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 30Hz to 120Hz. Customers will also have the option to choose nano-textured display glass on the 1TB and 2TB iPad Pro (2024) models
On the front is a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle TrueDepth camera – with landscape orientation like the iPad Air (2024), with center scene support. On the back of the iPad Pro there is a 12-megapixel main camera as well as a LiDAR scanner. The rear camera supports ProRes video recording up to 4K at 30 fps and ponderous motion video recording at 1080p at 240 fps.
Connectivity options on iPad Pro (2024) models include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB Type-C port for charging (at 20W) with Thunderbolt 4/USB 4 support. In the US, the modern iPad Pro will support both Sub-6 connectivity , as well as mmWave 5G, while in other regions the device will offer support for Sub-6 5G networks. It comes with Face ID support for biometric authentication. iPad Pro (2024) measures 249.7 x 177.5 x 5.3 mm (11 inches) and 281.6 x 215.5 x 55.1 mm (13 inches) and weighs between 4466 g (11 inches) 582 g (13 inch).
The modern Apple Pencil Pro has a modern sensor in the stylus housing that supports pinch gestures to display the tool palette. It also comes with a touch engine to confirm the exploit of specific gestures. Thanks to the modern gyroscope, you can also “spin” Apple Pencil Pro, changing the orientation of the shaped tools. Apple says the modern accessory also supports the Find My network.
