Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds signed the law on June 2nd to two election-related bills. It prohibits the use of rank-option voting in statewide elections, allows voting workers to request evidence of voter citizenship, and the other standardizing review and standardization of another election, allowing voting workers to request evidence of voter citizenship.
In a press release on June 2, Reynolds’ office announced the signing of both bills (house file 954 and house file 928). Secretary Paul Putty shared photos from the signing ceremony on social media, calling it a victory for election integrity in Iowa.
