Instagram has released several recent interactive sticker options that users can apply in their stories. Instagram Stories are a popular way to share content on the platform alongside posting a photo, video or album. Users can upload text, images or video stories and even combine elements from all of these options. The recent stickers are intended to assist users express themselves more creatively. One of the many features includes the ability for users to create stickers to apply on their Instagram Stories from existing photos in their albums.
Meta has confirmed a recent series of interactive stickers for Instagram Stories wa blog post. One of the most creative additions is the Reveal sticker, which essentially “hides” the Story content by blurring it. Viewers will need to DM the poster to see the full story. The consent of the poster author is not required. Once you deliver a private message to the person who posted the Story with a “Discover” sticker, the viewer will be able to see all of the Story’s content.
The company is also introducing a recent “Add Yours Music” sticker, where Instagram followers of the poster can also add music of their choice. Works similarly to Add Your Images or Reel stickers. People viewing a story can click on a sticker to post a story with the same sticker along with images and music of their choice.
Instagram Stories will now also have a frame sticker option that will turn any photo into an instant Polaroid-like print. The Cutouts sticker option, true to its name, allows users to create cutout stickers from various photos to apply in Instagram Stories.
Meanwhile, Instagram recently added a recent feature to its iOS app that makes clicking and posting stories more accessible. iOS users can now add a recent lock screen widget that directly opens the Story Camera, allowing you to click a photo or take a video and post it as a Story without opening the main Instagram app.
Meta recently confirmed that Instagram will test features that blur messages containing nudity to protect teenage users and “prevent potential scammers from reaching them.” The statement comes after growing allegations that Meta’s apps are addictive and contributing to mental health problems among adolescent people.
