The makers of Illegal 3, starring Neha Sharma, Piyush Mishra and Akshay Oberoi, unveiled the trailer of the third season on Saturday. In the up-to-date season of the show, lawyer Niharika Singh, played by Neha Sharma, embarks on an exhilarating journey driven by her desire to become a top lawyer in Delhi, leaving behind her once cherished beliefs. Throughout the series, viewers could see her ideological struggles with Janardhan Jaitely, Piyush Mishra’s character.

Talking about his role in the up-to-date season of the courtroom drama, Piyush Mishra said, “Every role you play helps you grow both as an actor and as a person. My role as JJ in Illegal is also the same. Every step in this role was a discovery and unraveling of the layers of my character. The script was so intriguing that it demanded the best from all the actors, and the third season is no exception. I’ve always been drawn to characters with multiple layers, and JJ is one of those roles.”
Akshay Oberoi will reprise his role as a lawyer in the series. The show explores the complexities of the Indian legal system, delving into the personal and professional lives of the characters involved.
In the series, Akshay played the role of the son of a criminal lawyer, which earned him wide critical acclaim and viewers eagerly awaited his return in the third installment.

Illegal 3 is directed by Sahir Raza and will premiere on JioCinema on May 29, 2024. The first season of the web series was released in 2020 and the next season of the series was released in November 2021 on Voot.
