The lines between sleepwear and loungewear are officially blurred, and it looks like this will be the case for the long haul. Fashion lovers know this Underlay, the luxury loungewear brand with celebrity fans including Margot Robbie, Hilary Duff and Suki Waterhouse, pioneered the idea of wearing pajamas in public. “Wearing pajamas outside gives you a feeling of home, comfort and confidence that no other clothing can give” – co-founder of the brand Asia Varetsa says TZR. “Pajamas can be worn with anything and, if styled correctly, are suitable for any occasion.” And co-founder Kate Zubarieva – her business partner repeats. “I open every day @daily_sleeperInstagram account and I browse the tags – I see pretty women dressed in pajamas and loungewear in restaurants, at parties, on vacation and even at weddings,” she explains.
Similarly, Judith Harris, home and home caretaker at ul TOAST (which carries a lot pajamas are obligatory) tells TZR that she’s noticed a shift toward wearing pajamas all day long, especially in recent summer seasons. “Warmer weather encourages people to choose simpler, easier silhouettes in lighter fabrics, which are often found in pajamas,” she explains. For example, a linen or cotton set guarantees a nippy feeling AND look cute during the dog days of summer.
