Last month, several current venture capital-backed companies entered or are about to enter public markets. This created a gold rush for investors. Travel technology platform Ixigo is set to go public next week, while insurance company Go Digit and coworking startup Awfis have already listed on stock exchanges over the past month. Their investors, including Peak XV Partners, Elevation Capital, ChrysCapital and TVS Capital, and A91 Partners, can enjoy multiple returns on some of these investments.
The second wave of initial public offerings (IPOs) of new-age venture-backed companies, starting with Mamaearth’s parent company Honasa Consumer last October, followed by Go Digit, Awfis and ixigo this year, is turning into a gold rush for investors like such as Peak XV Partners, Elevation Capital, ChrysCapital, A91 Partners and TVS Capital. The first such companies to go public in 2021 and 2022 include Zomato, Nykaa, PB Fintech, Paytm and Delhivery.
