British distributor Hanway Films is embarking on a revenge comedy Hey, bearis the feature debut of American comedy writer and director Jonathan Krisel and will star Mia Goth and Zach Galifianakis.
The feature is in pre-production and is being touted as a “coming of anger” story. The story is about Claire, played by Goss, who takes revenge on the grizzly bear that ate her husband, played by Dan Stevens.
Galifianakis plays a socially awkward park ranger who helps out a bear called Mr. Cranky on an assassination mission.
Alix Madigan is manufactured in the USA. beef Screenwriter Carey Kemper penned the script, and Hanway will begin selling it at AFM next month, with participation from leading North American companies WME Independent and UTA Independent Film Group.
Krisel’s television writing credits include: portlandia and basket.
