Google is finally ready for ChatGPT. Google Bard is no more – it’s here now Twinsand like ChatGPT, it offers a free app and website where you can ask questions and receive AI answers in return. But that’s not all: Google now has a up-to-date tier called Gemini Advanced that directly matches ChatGPT Plus.
Gemini Advanced with the Ultra 1.0 AI model
Gemini is currently the single name for all of Google’s AI offerings: it’s the name of their AI model and consumer-facing product. The free version runs on Pro 1.0 (formerly Gemini Pro), but the up-to-date Gemini Advanced offers Google’s top AI model, Ultra 1.0, which you can get with the Google One AI Premium plan for $19.99 per month. This subscription includes 2TB of cloud storage, all the benefits of a Google One subscription, and access to Gemini Ultra. Compared to ChatGPT Plus, purely in terms of value, the Google One plan is a better deal. Google currently offers a two-month free trial. If you are interested, you can start your free trial here.
You’ll soon be able to operate Gemini AI in Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and Gemini Advanced will be available in over 150 countries. (For now, Gemini Advanced is only optimized for English, but can answer questions in other languages where Gemini is available. You can find whole list here.)
All eyes are on Gemini
GPT 4.0 ChatGPT Plus is a recognized leader in the AI space. It handles everything from writing code to working with plugins. Gemini is Google’s answer.
Gemini Advanced should be more capable than Bard when it comes to advanced tasks such as following a detailed set of instructions, logical reasoning, coding, and as a innovative collaborator. According to Google press release, Gemini Advanced also allows for longer and more detailed conversations with the bot and understands the context of previous prompts much better. (If Google is to be believed, this is a massive improvement over Bard).
Google offers Gemini as a collaborator for your innovative and professional projects, as well as a person to aid you brainstorm different types of innovative ideas or aid you find different solutions. For example, Gemini can aid you with advanced coding problems by serving as a sounding board for your ideas and offering advice on solving them. It can provide contextual feedback on your approaches, track them, and aid you evaluate the results of different coding approaches.
Similarly, if you’re a content creator, Google says Gemini can aid you create up-to-date content from scratch. By connecting to Google Search, Gemini can analyze current trends, which can aid you brainstorm ideas that are more likely to grow your audience.
