Fresh Delhi: Actress Simratt Kaur Randhawa opted for a sentimental outfit at the International Iconic Awards, where she received the Best Debut award for her role in ‘Gaddar 2’. Kaur repeated the same white dress she wore in her first public appearance while promoting her debut film.
Sharing her joy on winning the award and appreciation for her role in ‘Gaddar 2’, Kaur said, “It’s special as it’s my first debut award. For an actress, the first ones are always special.”
Decoding “Cheerful White Dress”
Simrat opted for a white anarkali gown paired with leggings and a matching dupatta. She completed her look with long beaded earrings. she completed the look with minimal makeup and open hair.
Expressing her affection for the ‘Lucky White’ dress, Kaur said, ‘Well, it was the dress I wore when I first faced the world of Bollywood. So this dress is special and close to my heart. Today, after receiving the debut award, I think I had to put on the same dress I started with again. Sometimes a few things and styles are close to your heart and you want to recreate them, relive this moment again. And sometimes it’s a budget-friendly solution, so yes.”
When asked if she took inspiration from Alia Bhatt’s recent trend of repeating outfits for special occasions, Simrat explained, “Well, I won’t say I’m inspired, but I’ve always done it and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with repeating But since Alia Bhatt she did it, now people are more aware of it and they are joyful about it because it has a huge impact on all of us.”
