The Dodgers won the World Series Wednesday night. Freddie Freeman was named MVP after the 5-Game Series ended in Los Angeles.
The Dodgers won the World Series
It’s been four years since the Dodgers last won the World Series, but even that title didn’t feel like a perfect achievement in a season shortened due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This time, nothing was shortened as the Dodgers came to the top of the World Series after just five games against the Yankees.
Los Angeles appeared to win the championship from start to finish, down 3-0 in the series, with the Yankees having an impossible mountain to climb to get back into the competition.
Despite a single victory in New York, the Yankees were unable to return to the series, and the Dodgers sealed the championship with a 7-6 tension victory in Los Angeles.

However, the final World Series match was not easy for the Dodgers, five in five.
The Yankees blew a 5-0 lead in one inning on Wednesday night, and from there it was all in Los Angeles, with the hosts dominating after coming back from a five-rundown.
Freddie Freeman has appointed MVP
There was no doubt who would win the World Series MVP this year. There were countless players who enjoyed great performances, but Freddie Freeman was selected as MVP.
Freeman set up a home run MLB record during the World Series and opened his first walk from the Grand Slam in World Series history, becoming a worthy recipient of the MVP Award.
As the Dodgers star struggled with an ankle injury when he entered the World Series, it is his recovery that makes Freeman’s MVP special.
“I did a lot of work between the NLC and the World Series,” Freeman said. “Thankfully, my ankles went into a good place where I could work on my swing and found a cue that really worked for me.

“I was able to slow things down. All you’re trying to do is swing on strike, take the ball, hit the mistake. Thankfully, I was able to do it in five games.”
Freeman also scored home runs in all four of the Dodgers’ first World Series games, becoming the first player in MLB history.
