František Klišík, hero Better to go crazy in the wildpassed away several hours after the documentary won the Main Grand Prix Award at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
According to several Czech media outlets, Kriszk was found dead in a pond in the town of Orobek, near the Czech capital Prague on the morning of Sunday July 13th. He was 62 years old.
Czech radio station Radiozurnal announced its death on Sunday, July 13th. Klišík was in Karlovy just three days ago with the film’s world premiere on Thursday, July 10th.
Last night it became the first Czech film of eight years and won the Top Karlovy Vary Award.
Better to go crazy in the wild It is loosely based on a book of the same name by Yer Paran and Jan Sibik, depicting twin brothers Frantishek and Ondrej Krisik. Palan posted a photo of Frantisek on Facebook and took part in the festival with his posthumous tribute.
The ju judge of Karlovy Viraly described the film as “an interesting Valentine’s Day for the art of decline of being faithful to oneself… the lifestyle it portrays, the risk it requires and the intensely loving brotherhood it admires. Better to go crazy in the wild It feels like a quick chunk of fresh woody air, an outdoor pond, or a moment of contemplating as a cow chews its whiskers. ”
This is the fifth feature by Czechoslovak filmmaker Miloremo. It is also produced by Remo and Tomas Hruby for Slovak Company Arsy-Bersy in collaboration with Czech company Nutprodukce. Film Autol handles sales.
