Bollywood actor Ashutosh Rana is known more for his villainous roles than anything else. The actor played several very mighty roles on screen, and viewers loved his characters. Ashutosh has always refused to be a stereotypical Bollywood star and that is what made him a great actor.
Rana, who has won acclaim for his work in films like ‘Dushman’, ‘Sarfarosh’, ‘Mulk’, ‘Sonchiriya’, ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Fighter’, said he is ecstatic that the lines between mainstream and offbeat cinema are blurred today they got blurry. According to a PTI report, the actor said, “I feel there is a lot left in Ashutosh Rana. The actor in Ashutosh Rana is like a child who has just started walking and is taking compact steps. There is still much ahead of us. Why I think so is because I started with films that were called off-beat cinema and which have now entered mainstream cinema.
He added, “For actors like me, this is a golden era,” the actor is the lead star of the latest OTT show “Murder in Mahim.” “I hope I get a lot of work and play different characters. I want to play Chanakya, Raavan, Vivekanand and Krishna on screen. There are so many characters who are etched in our minds like Gabbar (from Sholay).
The 56-year-old actor said he would love to play a variety of characters on screen, both heroic and villainous. He believes that he gained recognition from the audience because he played each character with utmost sincerity.
