Dad Motors recently released a trailer that gives us a sneak peek at some exterior details. Now, the company has released a teaser that reveals several design elements and features of the hatchback.
As the trailer shows, Runner gets a novel orange paint job with a contrasting black roof and twin white stripes running along the hood and roof. The roof, side mirrors, window line and A, B and C pillars, including the integrated spoiler, are painted black. It will also feature a shark fin antenna and a “Racer” badge. Other expected design features include redesigned front and rear bumpers with air intakes, refreshed front end and radiator grille.
Once inside, the Racer will feature a sporty interior with a black dashboard layout with color accents and contrast stitching on the seats and steering wheel. It also features color inserts and body-color ambient lighting. The teaser also confirms that the hatchback will come with a power sunroof, while other expected features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support, connected car technology, ventilated seats, camera 360 degrees, head-up display and voice-controlled sunroof, automatic climate control, fully digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, cruise control, parking sensors and much more.
When it comes to security, Altroz it gets 6 airbags, TPMS, ISOFIX mounts, electronic stability control (ESC), hill climb assist and three-point seat belts with seat belt reminder function for all passengers. It is to be noted that the standard variants of the Tata Altroz have achieved 5 stars in the Global NCAP crash tests.
The Altroz gets a more powerful engine compared to the regular Altroz. The racer is powered by a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that generates 120 HP and 170 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Tata is also expected to offer the Altroz with a DCA dual-clutch automatic transmission
