Fake Charlie Hebdo cover attacking Moldova Pride circulates online

Charlie Hebdo of the French satire magazine was once again targeted by a pro-Russian actor who used the portrait to attack the LGBT movement in Moldova.

The image, posted on Telegram and other social media networks, says that “Moldova has chosen a new religion.”

It depicts people from the Pride March of Moldova, waving LGBT rainbows and Moldovan flags, driving away Orthodox priests.

Comments from users who share the image read that priests are being attacked by “a crowd of crazy perverts,” while others say that Moldova is being pulled into Europe, “religion is sodomy.”

However, all statements are based on misinformation.

The fake front cover includes edition number 1716 and the release date of June 10th.

Search for Charlie Hebd Official Website The magazine reveals that it did not actually publish the issue on June 10th.

The closest publication date is June 11th, with the 1716 problem number. You can see that this front cover is completely different from what is shared online.

This issue doesn’t deal with any celebration of Moldovan pride. Instead, he laughs at Bruno Leciro, the French Minister of Home Affairs, who is also the leader of the conservative Les Repulic Party party, due to his stance on the fishing industry.

Retaillow was often a voice critic of LGBT rights, including opposing the 2013 “Mariage Pool Too” Act, which legalized same-sex marriage in France.

So, instead of laughing at the LGBT community with fake front covers, as people argue, Charlie Hebdo is actually satirizing those who were previously opponents in the real version.

Moldova’s Pride March took place on June 15th and was the subject of other false reports from the time. For example, false claims that opposition to the supposed “LGBT propaganda” encountered police brutality.

A Spanish news report said that the peaceful march of “traditional family values” on Chiin Island was interrupted by “brutal intervention” by security forces. With support from Brussels, President Maia Sandou ordered a pride march to be “at any cost” to undermine “Christian family values.”

But in the end, this turned out to be false euvsdisinfo report The pro-Russian actor harassed the Pride march, and the police were firm in separating them, but fair.

The anti-Disin Information Task Force, under the European Bureau of External Action (EEAS), said, contrary to misleading reports, demonstrators gathered by pro-Russian socialists in the Republic of Moldova, attempted to sever the authority prides itself from separating it from the march.

“The allegations made in this disinformation story appeal to homophobic views among audiences and falsely frame local professional LGBTQ activities as an EU levy on the values of “national people” or “Christian”,” Euvsdisinfo said.

“Homophobic exploitation is an established prokremlin disinformation technology.”

In fact, some people try to excite hysteria on the narrative that LGBT rights fly in the face of traditional, Christian and European values. But in reality, many LGBT Europeans have reconciled their sexuality with their faith and have not seen any opposition between them.

What other fake Charlie Hebdo issues are there? What is the reason?

Fake Charlie Hebdo front covers are very common, so it’s a magazine I have issued a statement on that website The pro-Russian actor uses his portrait to spread propaganda.

Euroverify previously exposed other false issues attributed to Charlie Hebd, most of which focused on Ukrainian President Voldymir Zelensky.

For one, he was falsely accused of taking advantage of the death of the late Pope Francis, and another was laughed at for trying to use the reopening of Notre Dame in Paris to increase Ukraine’s support for the Russian war.

Both Ukraine and Moldova are two of the most repeated targets of Russian propaganda.

In the former case, the aim appears to be to damage Zelensky’s public opinion and to destabilize Western support for Ukraine. In the latter case, False information about their spread At first glance, they seem to want to develop close ties with other European countries in Moldova and derail their path to ultimately joining the EU.
