In her Instagram Stories showing off her pickleball skills (and a minor ball-related injury), Longoria revealed that square nails – quite a departure from her usual mani style. However, it looks so good that she should consider making it her novel favorite outfit.
What’s truly remarkable is how quickly Longoria was able to transition from the typical almond manicure to more boxy, square tips. Just a few days ago, the actor and director sported a set of delicately pointed nails at best friend Victoria Beckham’s birthday party, polished a reflective, shiny black. Nearly 72 hours later, she had dramatically changed her appearance to a square shape. For pickleball, she opted for a shiny pink and gray polish applied over a long, rectangular style, a color combination often called “gloss nails.”
After a quick but thorough examination of Longoria’s manicures over the past few years, the closest she came to playing with square nails was when she had brief, natural nails. He opts almost exclusively for a long, rounded look, often with a lot of elegant sharpness. However, she’s not alone in this change – plenty of celebrities are looking to get in shape right now and have been doing so for some time.

In fact, that’s the fun of square nails – they can stand on their own as a trend, but they’re endlessly customizable.
