The duo was seen wearing matching colorful outfits as they arrived at the polling station in Mumbai. On one hand, DeePee wore an oversized white shirt with airy blue jeans, while Ranveer matched his outfit with a fitted white shirt in a similar shade of denim. Deepika’s baby bump is clearly perceptible in the photos and videos shared on social media by paparazzi.
Since the morning voting started at 7 am, many actors like Akshay Kumar and Farhan Akhtar left their homes early to fulfill their civic duties. Some other Bollywood stars who voted today include Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Janhvi Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Sanya Malhotra, Kunal Kohli, Paresh Rawal, Shahid Kapoor, Suniel Shetty, Anil Kapoor, Vishal Dadlani, Anupam Kher, Suresh Oberoi, Malaika Arora and Kajol, among others.
This phase of elections covers six Lok Sabha constituencies in Mumbai, including Mumbai North, Mumbai North West, Mumbai North East, Mumbai North Central, Mumbai South and Mumbai South Central.
Moreover, constituencies in Maharashtra such as Dhule, Dindori, Nashik, Kalyan, Palghar, Bhiwandi and Thane are also participating in the campaign. With 48 Lok Sabha seats, Maharashtra is the second largest state after Uttar Pradesh in terms of parliamentary constituencies. In Maharashtra, the major political parties struggling in the polls include the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress Party (INDI Alliance)
The 2024 Lok Sabha elections are being held in seven phases from April 19 to June 1 and were marked by high voter participation. The final results will be announced on June 4.
