A trial in Oregon is scheduled to begin Oct. 29 over President Donald Trump’s decision to federalize and deploy the National Guard to the state.
So far, two federal courts have blocked him from deploying his troops under a law that allows the president to incorporate the Guard into the Union in the face of an insurrection or when the law cannot be enforced.
