Agricultural solutions provider Coromandel International has launched 10 up-to-date products, including three patented products, aimed at increasing yields, controlling pest infestations and supporting sustainable farming practices.
For one of its patented products, Prachand, it has partnered with ISK Japan. The product uses advanced Japanese technology to protect rice crops from destructive pests such as stem borers and leafrollers, reducing potential crop losses for the farmer by up to 70%, Coromandel said on Friday. Other up-to-date products include an creative neem-coated biological plant and soil health promoter and five generic formulations, including three herbicides, providing high-impact, comprehensive plant protection solutions.
In recent years, the company has been strengthening its product portfolio, and the share of up-to-date product sales in 2023-24 was 15%. The company said in a statement that the latest addition will further enhance its product offering.
For the first time, Coromandel International introduces 10 up-to-date products in a year. One of them was developed through cooperation with Japan, and four are the result of internal research, said executive director of CPC, biologics and retail Raghuram Devarakonda.
