The federal government announced Nov. 10 that community colleges and other higher education institutions will benefit from new federal funding for workforce development programs and advances in artificial intelligence in education.
The Department of Education will set aside $50 million in 2026 to create and expand short-term programs, which are more common at community colleges and are eligible for federal Pell grants, according to a news release.
