On the fourth Monday night, the Bengals were on their path to facing the Broncos. QB Joe Barrow has been in Cincinnati for at least three months. He is recovering from a serious grass toe injury.
In the meantime, Backup Jake Browning is Cincinnati’s starting QB. In the last two games, the Bengals scored a total of 13 points. Plus, each of the last two contests averages 185.5 yards per game. For Cincinnati, the most shocking stat of four games is that they only have 200 rushing yards as a team.
Can Bengal turn around the offensive struggle after their fourth week of performance?
#bengals He has 200 rushing yards… as a team… in four games.
In context: 24 players in the NFL have more than that.
As a team, Bengal averages only 205.3 yards per game. That’s the worst mark in the NFL. pic.twitter.com/9tcpygdmbj

It was a struggle for Bengal as Joe Barrow is out with a grass toe injury. They lose two straight games and no attacks exist. Throughout the final eight quarters of football, Cincinnati scored 13 points and had one touchdown. It came in the fourth quarter of a 48-10 defeat to the Vikings in the third week. Cincinnati brought the Broncos to a 28-3 loss in week 4 MNF.
As a team, Bengal had just 178 yards of offense and Denver. Jake Browning was 14-25 with 125 passing yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions. Ja’marr Chase and Tee Higgins both finished the game with three catches. Additionally, Bengal only had 53 rushing yards in the fourth week. In the 2025 season, the team has 200 yards. That’s the worst in the NFL.

NFL insider Ari Meirov reported that 24 players had more than 200 rushing yards in the 2025 season. This includes rookies such as Quinshon Judkins and Omarion Hampton. The Bengals’ rush attack has not been around for up to four weeks. We are starting RB Chase Brown. His best season was 47 yards in Week 2.
This is not the first time I’ve seen the Bengals’ offense fight when Joe Burrow comes out. He missed the final seven games of the 2023 season due to injuries. Jake Browning was the starter, and Cincinnati took a step back offensively. The Bengals will be at home in week 5 due to a strong offense at the Detroit Lions. If their attacks can’t keep up, it could be another ugly loss for Cincinnati.
