On the third Sunday afternoon, the charger was at home to face the Broncos. It was a battle between Los Angeles and Denver before and after. In the end, Cameron Dicker won the game by hitting a 43-yard field goal for walk-off.
The Chargers last started 3-0 during the 2002 season. During the third week victory, one player suffered a serious injury. It was veteran RB Najee Harris. He tore his Achilles tendon in the second quarter and never returned. NFL insiders confirmed that the 27-year-old is finished for the season.

This offseason, the Los Angeles Chargers signed a one-year, $5.25 million contract with RB Najee Harris. Four years after starting his career with the Steelers, Pittsburgh did not re-sign Harris after 2024. Harris was involved in the July 4th fireworks incident, missing out on time during training camp and preseason. However, Harris was available in week 1 for the charger.
He caught five yards and five yards in week one time in five yards. Chargers rookie O’Malion Hampton led the RB with 11 carries in his first game. Najee Harris saw a second week workload increase with eight carrys. Unfortunately, Harris was torn into his Achilles tendon in the third week and with the Broncos. Over the first four seasons of his career, Najee Harris did not miss the game. He is currently out in the final 14 games of Los Angeles’ 2025 season.

Najee Harris came out and Chargers’ Rookie Omarion Hampton had the best game of his young career. He carried the ball 15 times with 129 rushing yards and one touchdown. Hampton also saw production as a receiver in the third week, earning six catches to eight targets for 59 yards. As you move forward, the Hampton becomes a clear RB1 on the charger.
The 63 snaps of Hampton on Sunday were also the new personal best. Third-string RB Hassan Haskins came in with just six plays. Najee Harris came out and Omarion Hampton quickly followed his way into Los Angeles’ flagship RB. Before he got down in week 3, Najee Harris led the team with six carries. Now Hampton will have the opportunity to prove why the charger used his first round draft capital to choose him. Los Angeles is on the road to face the 0-3 New York giant in week 4. The charger will become my favorite.
