Elon Musk, owner of social media platform X (formerly Twitter), caused a boycott of Netflix after he highly publicly canceled a subscription to the streaming service.

In a post on X, Musk urged others to follow the lawsuit, saying, “Netflix: Cancel for your child’s health:.” This decision came from his objections, a dead end to the animated series, that is, the opposition to Paranormal Park and its creator, British animator Hamish Steel.

The criticism of Musk focuses on two issues. This is a controversial statement that stems from the series’ “Trans Ideology” promotion to children and Steel. The creator is accused of celebrating the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk and naming him “Nazi.” Steele denied celebrating Kirk’s death.

Dead End: Paranormal Park, a British animated series cancelled after the second season, is a mix of comedy, horror and fantasy that spans 20 episodes. Following on to two teenagers. A “Trans Character” named Bernie and a “Neurodyverse” character named Norma work in a theme park where haunted houses look like a portal of hell.

Depending on streaming content, Netflix’s Musk Boycott

Musk’s boycott call was in response to a post from television comedy writer Graham Linehan about canceling his Netflix subscription. Musk repeated his emotions, writing, “Again.”

Following Musk’s announcement and boycott calls, Netflix shares reportedly fell 2%. However, the stock has seen a downward trend over the past few days, falling 2.3% on October 1, 2025, and pre-market trading on October 2, 2025 fell 0.8%, reaching a two-month low of $1162 per share.
