A breakthrough event will take place internationally – the World AI Creator Awards (WAIC) announces the inauguration of Miss AI, the world’s most significant beauty contest for models and influencers using artificial intelligence. This pioneering competition, reported by Gadgets 360, aims to celebrate the ingenuity and creativity of artificial intelligence creators around the world.
With prizes worth a total of $20,000 (approximately Rs 16.7 lakhs) up for grabs, Miss AI opened its doors to entries from April 14, inviting registration from creators of AI-created models. Eligible participants must have a social media presence and be of legal age as advertised.
As detailed on the official website, Forbes’ Miss AI is the first of several awards hosted by WAIC focusing on various topics such as fashion, diversity and AI-generated male models. The competition focuses specifically on models or influencers created entirely using AI tools, with no restrictions on the software used. Popular tools include DALL-E 3, Midjourney, and OpenAI’s Copilot Designer.
Despite the unconventional assumptions, Miss AI will evaluate the participants according to three main criteria: beauty, technological proficiency and social influence. The criteria of beauty include established attributes of pageantry such as charm, eloquence, and answering questions. Technical proficiency assesses creators’ ability to employ AI tools, including their ability to generate results based on prompts.
Social impact, a key aspect of today’s digital landscape, will measure creators’ engagement rates, audience growth rate and presence on platforms like Instagram. Each participant will receive an overall score based on the scoring system in these categories.
A distinguished panel of four judges, including two AI influencers, Aitana Lopez and Emily Pellegrini, who both boast vast Instagram followers, will evaluate the contestants.
Entrepreneur Andrew Bloch and beauty pageant judge Sally-Ann Fawcett will also be part of the panel, providing a human perspective alongside AI influencers.
While the exact date of the online awards ceremony has not been revealed, it is scheduled to take place later this month, with the winners announced on May 10.
The crowned champion will receive a cash prize of $5,000 (approximately Rs 4.1 lakh) as well as mentoring opportunities, promotional packages and PR support, highlighting the importance of this landmark event.
