Trump said the case should have been in federal court as prosecutors said they used evidence of the conduct.

The June 11 Court of Appeals weighed President Donald Trump’s demands to move his business record criminal case to federal court, and could open the door to throwing his conviction since last year.

The verbal argument came about a year after the ju judge ruled that Trump was found guilty in state court over multiple counts of forgerying business records. Trump maintained his innocence and claimed that prosecutors had multiple flaws, including using evidence of conduct protected by the president’s immunity.
