Bollywood diva Anushka Sharma, known for her energetic performances in NH10 and Sultan, celebrates her 36th birthday today, May 1, 2024. The actress has been taking a break from films and was last seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero, which released in 2018. A few years ago, Anushka talked about taking long breaks between films and also revealed why it was vital for her to choose the right script.
“People find it demanding to believe that anyone would want to take time off to rejuvenate. You shouldn’t deny yourself this, because it’s vital to be able to think freshly. Then you will be able to make the right decisions. To make the right decisions in life, you must have a balanced mind. I read the scripts. I can’t wait to sign a great script and get back on set. This is what I love doing the most. I want to feel energized by creativity,” she said.
“Also, I’m not the type to talk slyly about films I’ve rejected. Since I don’t do this as a rule, you can assume that I don’t have any videos. Please give me some credit. I have been working for 10 years. I’ve reached the point where this won’t happen. I should also be able to reap the benefits of working so demanding. This benefit is the ability to take time off and choose the right script. It’s an honor to be able to say no. It’s a privilege I’ve worked demanding for. I don’t have to fill my calendar to justify my credibility as an actor,” she added.
Meanwhile, Anushka will next be seen in a biographical sports drama titled Chakda’ Xpress. The film is about the life of Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami and her struggles. Directed by Prosit Roy, the film also stars Renuka Shahane and Mahesh Thakur in vital roles.
