Spring has just settled, but American Airlines is already ahead of winter and is expanding its services to warm weather destinations for sun-tracking travelers all year round.

The Fort Worth, Texas-based airline has announced plans to deploy new international routes to popular destinations in Mexico and the Dominican Republic, and expand services to Hawaii and South America this winter.

“American’s comprehensive global network is designed to increase access to destinations that customers want to visit,” Brians Not Chins, senior vice president of network planning in America, said in a press release. “Along with extending seasons for new routes, popular routes and major destinations, the US schedule is designed to help travelers escape into the sun, sand and more.”

Here’s what you need to know about American Airlines’ expanding flight map:

In Punta Cana, the Zerpunta Cana Hotel, a collaboration between Melia Hotels International and Rafael Nadal, opened in December 2024.
