On August 23, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott celebrated the passing of the state legislature on the new Congress map depicted in support of Republicans, and vowed to sign the law immediately.
The majority of Republicans, the Texas Senate, passed the new map of Congress into law in a partisan vote in the early hours of August 23rd.
