Aaron Sorkin and Sony Pictures are developing a sequel to a drama of Facebook origin Social Network Which Oscar-winning Sorkin will write and direct?

Sorkin’s original script Social Network Part II Intention Explore the story behind it Facebook FileS, a series of Wall Street Journal A report published in October 2021 exposed the internal mechanisms of the world’s largest social networks and multiple harms.

The sequel is currently being developed and produced by Todd Black, Peter Rice, Sorkin and Stuart Besser, but there is no cast yet.

Directed by David Fincher, Jesse Eisenberg starring Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg. Social Network It was released by Sony in 2010 and sold nearly $226 million worldwide, earning eight Oscar nominations, including one. He won Sorkin’s adapted script, Trent Reznor, original scores for Atticus Ross, and Statuettes for editing by Angus Wall and Kirk Baxter.

Last year, the film was added to the Library of Congress’s National Film Registry for the Preservation of Films with “cultural, historical or aesthetic Importance.”

Sorkin then continued writing and directed features including Molly’s Game, Chicago 7 trial and Being a Ricard.
