‘A special hat from a special person’: Ravindra Jadeja receives ICC Test Team of the Year cap from Rahul Dravid

NEW DELHI: Team Indiaversatile star, Ravindra Jadejawas honored with the name of w ICC Test Team of the Year 2023, an honor announced earlier this year at the ICC Awards.
Jadeja along with another Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwinearned a place in the elite team thanks to his outstanding performances in red ball cricket throughout the year.
Taking to his official Instagram account, Jadeja shared photos of the special moment when he received the ICC Test Team of the Year cap from Team India’s head coach, Rahul Dravid. The photos show Dravid handing the hat to Jadeja, who expressed her gratitude in the caption of the post: “A special hat from a special person.”

The 2023 ICC Test Team of the Year is headed by an Australian Pat Cumminsin which outstanding cricketers from around the world take part.
The team includes Usman Khawaja, Dimuth Karunaratne, Kane Williamson, Joe Root, Travis Head, Ravindra Jadeja, Alex Carey (week), Pat Cummins (captain), Ravichandran Ashwin, Mitchell Starc and Stuart Broad.

The inclusion of Jadeja and Ashwin in this prestigious squad highlights their significant contributions to Test cricket. Both players played key roles in their performances, showing exceptional skill and consistency.
Jadeja is expected to return to action in the coming 2024 T20 World Cup, which will take place in the USA and the West Indies. As he prepares for this vital tournament, his recent recognition is a testament to his enduring excellence and impact on the sport.
