Police in Milton, Florida, arrested a man after he pulled out a gun Uber driver earlier this week who was giving his daughter a ride. Sean Hollonbeck forced the driver out of the car onto the ground and has since been charged with false imprisonment and aggravated assault, WEAR News reports. After being removed from the car, Hollonbeck reportedly forced the driver to lie down on the road, produce his driver’s license to photograph him, and allowed him to photograph the license plate, Uber account and address where Hollonbeck had picked up. daughter.
As it turned outThe 13-year-old sneaked out of his home Saturday evening and took an Uber to Pensacola, about a 30-minute drive away. When he discovered she had slipped away, he reportedly called sheriff’s offices in Santa Rosa and Escambia counties, but neither department got much assist. So when she got home, he made the only logical decision and targeted the completely innocent Uber driver.
It is not entirely clear what type of weapon Hollonbeck used. WEAR News reported that it was a .22 caliber rifle, but Fox 35 Orlando reports it was actually an AR-15. Both can be deadly at close range, and having a gun pointed at your face can spell a bad day.
However, if you assumed that Hollonbeck would have realized the error of his ways after being arrested and fired, you couldn’t be more wrong. He redoubles his efforts, insisting he did everything right.
“This vehicle was completely unmarked. I didn’t think it was good, right?” he told WEAR News. “And everyone knows what’s going on in this country with fentanyl, child trafficking and rape. Terrible things.”
He also really wants people to know that he is a veteran, saying, “I served 31 years, I was a military medic, I trained to be a Navy flight surgeon, I served in the 7th Special Forces Group, I served in the 160th Group. I served six tours. This, of course, only makes it worse because he’s not some moron who was never taught gun safety or when to point a gun at someone.
“The enormous majority of this story has not been reported to the public at all. The enormous majority of them concern parental rights,” he said, later adding: “In this country, you are innocent until proven guilty. If this case goes to trial, I can’t wait because I want to sit on a jury of 12 mothers and fathers and judge whether what I did was fair because I called law enforcement but didn’t get it.”
Something tells us a jury will probably see the case differently, but they do Is Florida, so you never know. Maybe they’ll decide it’s not illegal to shoot your daughter’s Uber driver. Crazier things have happened in the past.
