Now, tasks have been set for those responsible for fueling the current AI boom advising the U.S. government on the unthreatening implementation of this technology in critical infrastructure.
They include OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang almost two dozen technology and business leaders, scientists, public officials and civil rights leaders join the government’s Artificial Intelligence Safety and Security Council. Board members will advise the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on how to prevent harm when deploying artificial intelligence in critical infrastructure such as the power grid and transportation. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas will chair the council.
