Neeraj Chopra is back! After skipping the Golden Spike competition last month to stay fit for the Paris Olympics, India’s golden boy Neeraj Chopra may be competing in his last preparatory competition before the Paris Olympics as he is set to take center stage at the Games in Paavo Nurmi. Chopra, who won silver in the Doha Diamond League and gold in the Federation Cup, felt something in his adductor muscle during training and withdrew from the Golden Spike competition.
The Paavo Nurumi Games in Finland will not only be a test of Chopra’s pre-Olympic fitness, but also a test of his standing in a competition that will feature a who’s who of men’s javelin throwers, including two-time champion Anderson Peters, Oliver Helander, Toni Keranen and Lassi Etelatalo from Finland, Max Dehning from Germany, Keshorn Walcott from Trinidad and Tobago and Adrian Mardare from Moldova. The line-up is balanced and Chopra will have no task.
Chopra may play in the Paris Diamond League on July 7 before the Olympics, but in Paavo Nurmi, his first goal will be to survive the competition unscathed and let everyone know he’s there. The last time Chopra competed in the Finland Games, he set his then personal best of 89.30m.
When and where to watch the Paavo Nurmi Games javelin throw event with Neeraj Chopra live on TV and OTT in India?

It will be a global channel and therefore will constantly switch between different sports, but Neeraj Chopra’s event will have a regular segment from time to time for the public and viewers to follow.
