Jaguar withdraws from the production industry sports cars, at least the gasoline-powered ones. Because the brand is planning a transition for high-end electric vehiclesJag is celebrating its long sports car history with the latest edition of its newest and final gas-powered sports car, the F-Type.
From the original and wonderful E-Type to the legendary XJ220 and the introduction of the F-Type in 2013 to the almost-finished C-X75, the automaker knows how to create a sports car. Over 87,000 of them have been produced over the last 50 years. To celebrate this line, Jaguar is creating the final version of the F-Type, which will be preserved for posterity.
This final F model will be an F convertible powered by the brand’s supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine, making it one of the last cars to ever get this engine once Land Rover starts using BMW V8 engines. The lovely color combination is unique to this car. The exterior is painted in what Jaguar calls Giola Green, paired with a black roof and black wheels, while the interior is upholstered in Tan Windsor leather. Jaguar says this color scheme is a nod to the last E-Type Series III convertible, which was built in 1974.
After completing various events and press tours, the car will be added to the Jaguar Heritage Collection. There it will be stored and cared for by the curator of the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust collection. While orders for the F-Type will still be available in early 2025, the brand’s current era of sports cars will come to an end. But that doesn’t mean Jaguar’s performance era is over. Jaguar plans to launch a fresh four-door electric GT model next year.
