Since overdue April, fashion enthusiasts have woken up almost every morning to Dakota Johnson’s many street style looks on the set of her upcoming film, Materialists. A modern collection of Johnson-approved elevated basics arrive every day from celebrity favorites like LESET and DÔEN, and each cut is as great as the last. But on Monday night, as we waited for her character’s latest OOTD, we were shocked to find Johnson on the red carpet instead of walking the streets of SoHo. The style muse attended the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival in a previously unreleased sheer blue dress from Gucci’s upcoming collection.
On June 10 — the fifth day of the Tribeca Film Festival — Johnson made a formal appearance at the premiere of her modern drama, Daddy, took place at the BMCC Theater. The Fifty shades of gray The star saved her Materialists-washed jeans ready for the next day, and instead I pulled out all the stops with a dress from the Gucci Fall/Winter 2024 presentation. Her red carpet-ready outfit is a sheer navy blue midi dress, complete with a lace-embellished bra. Like her original runway look, Johnson wore high-waisted lace underwear that showed through her midi underwear. From there, the A-lister stayed true to form with minimalist accessories, including Boho-chic style necklace from Tiffany & Co., which costs $10,200. Johnson accessorized her OOTN with a few mismatched rings and black ankle-strap pumps.
Earlier in the day, while out and about in SoHo, Johnson was photographed by paparazzi wearing another see-through Gucci outfit. For her first outing that day, she chose a summer outfit from the atelier’s Cruise 2025 collection, which debuted a month ago in London. Above, Johnson wore a vivid yellow bralette under a silk, translucent cardigan. As for her derrière, she kept the yellow theme going by wearing a marigold-colored sheer midi skirt that also showed off her boyish panties. Johnson slipped pointed wedge heels also in burgundy color gold rectangular sunglassesboth from Gucci, of course.
