Real estate organization CREDAI-MCHI has announced its partnership with the Phoenix Foundation with a commitment to plant bamboo in an area of ten lakh hectares as part of its commitment to the environment.
An event was organized in Mumbai to mark World Environment Day in which several developers and tree lovers participated.
Boman Irani, president of CREDAI, said: “We know how vital it is to integrate sustainable material options such as steel, wood, bamboo and bamboo wood.”
“By adopting sustainable solutions, our goal is to build resilient communities that can withstand and adapt to the growing environmental challenges we face. This event is a step towards achieving the net zero or carbon neutral target by 2047.” – added.
Domnic Romell, CEO of CREDAI-MCHI, said: “We are committed to promoting a healthier environment through sustainable practices. Our environmental exhibition on World Environment Day is proof of this commitment.
“We are actively promoting the employ of bamboo in construction and green building to create a greener and more sustainable future for MMR and beyond,” he added.
Pasha Patel, chairman of the Agricultural Prices Commission, said: “We need to adopt environmentally cordial energy sources and plant more trees. A fast-growing plant and an excellent source of energy, bamboo can significantly benefit the environment when integrated into our daily lives.
