The Altroz racer is essentially a much sportier version of the regular variant and will come with: powerful engine, cosmetic corrections, updated interior with recent features and more.The Altroz Racer is 3,990 mm long, 1,755 mm wide, 1,523 mm high, has a 2,501 mm wheelbase and comes with 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels that look the same as the standard model.
As per the joke image, Altroz Racer will get unique, two-tone exterior finish in orange and black. The roof, side mirrors, window line and A, B and C pillars, including the integrated spoiler, are painted black. Other expected styling cues will include white hood stripes, redesigned front and rear bumpers with air vents, refreshed front end and grille.
Once inside, the Racer will feature a sporty interior with a black dashboard layout with color accents and contrast stitching on the seats and steering wheel. It also features color inserts and body-color ambient lighting.
In terms of features, it will come with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support, connected in-car technology, ventilated seats, 360-degree camera, head-up display and voice-activated sunroof , automatic climate control, fully digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, cruise control, parking sensors and much more. In terms of safety, the Altroz comes with 6 airbags, TPMS, ISOFIX anchorages, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), hill hold assist and three-point seat belts with seat belt reminder for all passengers. It is to be noted that the standard variants of the Tata Altroz have achieved 5 stars in the Global NCAP crash tests.
The Altroz gets a more powerful engine compared to the regular Altroz. The racer is powered by a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that generates 120 HP and 170 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Tata is also expected to offer the Altroz with a DCA dual-clutch automatic transmission.
