The footage shows the driverless SUV careening down a slope and hitting Pradeep Valmiki, a sanitation worker who was cleaning the road.The vehicle continued driving until it collided with a wall, and terrified onlookers rushed to aid the injured worker.
In the video, Rohit Dongre, in-charge of Deori police station, can be seen sitting on the passenger seat. Dongre quickly exited the vehicle to aid the employee, who suffered head injuries and scratches on his hands, legs and abdomen. He was immediately taken to Bundelkhand Medical College for treatment and reportedly miraculously escaped from more earnest injuries.

Both the officers, Dongre and Anand Singh, in-charge of the women’s police station, were suspended for their carelessness. Additional SP Lokesh Sinha confirmed that disciplinary action has been taken and an investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the incident.
