Police arrested Subham Mithila, the man lying on the hood of the car, and a case was registered against the 17-year-old driver along with his father, a retired government official who owns the car, an official said on Monday.The incident took place in the busy Shivaji Chowk area of ​​Kalyan in Thane district on Saturday.

“The teenager took inspiration from social media and convinced his father to buy a used BMW for Rs 5 lakh and drive it on the street without a driving license,” said Senior Police Inspector Suresh Gund. He added that the owner of the car had received a notice. As a 17-year-old, it is worth adding that the teenager did not even have a driving license, as in the Pune Porsche case, but he performed perilous acrobatics on busy roads.

The arrest comes as part of ongoing investigation into a separate incident in Pune involving a teenage driver. The Mumbai case further highlights the dangers of driving without a license and reckless stunts.
