Chennai Super Kings’ journey to IPL 2024 has come to an end after losing to Royal Challengers Bengaluru and being eliminated from the tournament. After CSK’s elimination, the question that came to everyone’s mind was the future of Dhoni’s MS. There were speculations that the 42-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman, who was already struggling with a knee injury during the season, would retire if CSK wins the IPL 2024 title in Chennai. However, RCB poured water on Dhoni’s farewell dream and there is currently no confirmation about his future.
With CSK’s journey coming to an end, Dhoni is now taking some time off from cricket. Recently, the former CSK captain boarded an economy class flight from Bengaluru to Ranchi, leaving his fellow passengers in awe.
In the X video that went viral, Dhoni can be seen putting his luggage in the overhead bin and then taking his seat. Co-passengers captured the moments on their phones and then gave Dhoni a thunderous applause.

Earlier, in a video uploaded by CSK, Dhoni emphasized on the need to recruit the right players to the team and not massive names.
“Fear is very essential. You must be afraid of him, because if I am not afraid of him, I will never be brave. You know, I’ll never be brave. I have always felt that fear is essential, that pressure is essential because it helps me make the right decision, keeping everything in mind. If I am scared, many people say I am fearless,” Dhoni said in a video uploaded by the website. CSK.
“We have a very good player in our team, but he is drastically different from our surroundings. So what are we looking for? We want him to take that one step towards the team’s goal, and we’re content to take three steps towards him. But let’s say that’s not the case. The second best thing is keep doing what you’re doing, but don’t bother us. The third best option is to let him go I want to do well at the end of the day. The goal of the advisory team is to get the most out of that person, if he is very good to the team, I will try all ways to make him an asset,” he added.
