Under the modern rules, candidates will no longer have to undergo the often daunting and delayed driving tests at the RTO. Instead, they can choose to take practical driving tests at government-approved schools private training centers. These centers will be authorized to conduct driving tests and issue certificates qualifying persons applying for a driving license.
Private driving license: Conditions to be met
To ensure quality, private training centers must meet certain requirements: they need a minimum of 1 acre of land for two-wheelers and 2 acres for four-wheelers, an appropriate research facility and qualified trainers with a high school diploma, at least 5 years of experience and knowledge of IT systems and biometrics .

DL challan: Tougher penalties for minors without driving license
The fine for speeding is between 1,000 and 2,000 rupees. However, if a minor is caught driving a vehicle, he or she will face a hefty fine of Rs 25,000. Additionally, the vehicle owner’s registration certificate will be invalidated, and a minor will not be able to apply for a driving license until he or she turns 25.

The fees for various licensing services are as follows: Driving License – Rs 150, Driving Test – Rs 50, Driving Test – Rs 300, Issuance of Driving License – Rs 200, International Driving Permit – Rs 1,000, Addition to License driving another class of vehicle – 500 rupees, renewal of driving license – 200 rupees (after the grace period: 300 rupees + 1,000 rupees per year), duplicate driving license for a driving school – 5,000 rupees, appeal against the decision of the authority issuing the license – 500 rupees and change of address or other driving license details – 200 rupees.
