The S 1000 XR will be available in Blackstorm Metallic, Blue Metallic (with Style Sports) and Solid White/Motorsport (with M Package). The bike is available in a tourist and active package. Standard characteristics include Pro riding modes, heated grips and Pro headlights with adaptive turn signal, cruise control, keyless entry, TPMS and USB charger.
Interested customers can also customize the motorcycle with the optional M package, which includes a special color scheme, an M sports seat, an M lightweight battery, M forged wheels, an M Endurance chain, an M GPS-Laptrigger, a sports silencer and a tinted sports windscreen.
Year 2024 Model features several cosmetic and ergonomic improvements over the previous model. The Tourer has novel rear side panels and front fender and is now painted in body color. The motorbike it’s now 10mm taller than before and has a novel seat, and BMW says it’s now more comfortable.

The bike is powered by a 999cc in-line four-cylinder engine with flow-optimized geometry that generates 168 horsepower and 114 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a two-way quick-change gearbox. The bike has four riding modes – Rain, Road, Active and Active Pro. BMW claims the bike can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.25 seconds and has a top speed speed above 250 km/h. Braking is handled by a 320mm dual disc brake system at the front and a single 220mm disc at the rear.
