Perhaps one of the most impressive aspects of John Krasinski’s upcoming film is IFit’s the all-star voice cast he’s put together for him.
The multi-switch has stopped The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday to discuss the project, and the evening host couldn’t lend a hand but ask how the writer-director managed to get major stars to take part in the project.
“I must admit that this film received the most ‘yes’ in my career and the fastest, because everyone loves the idea of imagination and returning to childhood,” Krasiński said.
Discussing Ice Cube, voiced by Bradley Cooper, Composed place star explained, “I don’t know why, when I created this guy, I thought, ‘He’s from Philly and he’s kind of upset that he lives in Arizona.'”

He said that he watched their daughters disappear into this magical world that their parents were not allowed to enter, and over time they did it less and less often.
“It wasn’t just the joy on their faces, but how genuine they were. They could be anything they wanted to be in this world, and I said, ‘Em, that would be a great movie,'” he recalled. “It was actually only during the pandemic that I noticed that their delicate was starting to dim and they started playing less and less imaginary games. The world started to come into view and I thought, “Oh my God, this is the definition of growing up.” So they asked, “Will everything be okay?” And I said, “That’s it.” I’m writing this film right now to prove to you that the magical world is always present and you can always return to it.’”
IF will hit theaters on May 17.
