It seems like the entire tech industry is like this in love with drama what’s going on with OpenAI sudden shot CEO Sam Altman. Over the weekend, OpenAI management appeared to have changed its mind and tried to bring Altman back. It’s likely that right now too tardybecause Altman decided to leave cooperate with Microsoft. Lots of OpenAI employeesLike many observers, they disagree with OpenAI’s decision to remove Altman.
However, there is one person who seems to agree with OpenAI and Altman’s firing: Elon Musk.

“I’m very worried” – Musk sent to X on Sunday. “Ilya has a good moral compass and does not seek power. “He wouldn’t have taken such drastic action if he didn’t think it was absolutely necessary.”
Musk was referring to a previous post he wrote in response to Sutskever, in which OpenAI’s chief scientist said, “If you value intelligence above all other human characteristics, you’re going to have a bad time.”
Musk has been doing this for years resonant his worries over the developing “artificial intelligence” sector. Musk appears to be part of an AI community concerned about creating a doomsday product that actually harms humanity.
Musk was one of the founders of OpenAI when it was a purely open-source nonprofit. He has since completely severed ties with the company and expressed his views misunderstandings with the way it is conducted and cooperation with Microsoft.
On Sunday, even when David Sacks, a tech VC and friend of Musk, published a post saying Altman should get his job back, Musk rejected the idea – at least without knowing more information in advance.

“Given the risks and capabilities of advanced artificial intelligence, the public should be informed why management felt it needed to take such drastic action,” he added. he wrote Musk.
Ultimately, however, Musk has his own artificial intelligence startup xAI, so he’s certainly aware that there’s a chance if OpenAI can’t recover from all this. In fact, it seems like he’s gone from being “very worried” to being worried sharing memes making fun of the whole OpenAI situation.
