Yodha, starring Sidharth Malhotra, Raashii Khanna and Disha Patani, has finally gone digital. Nearly a month and a half after its theatrical release, the war drama premiered on Prime Video. The film appeared on the platform on April 26, but only as a rental. Earlier, the movie was available to subscribers for Rs 349, after which they will get a 30-day window to start watching the movie and 48 hours to stop watching it once started.
However, it is now available for free to Prime Video subscribers. However, for non-subscribers, the film is still available for rental and by paying Rs 249, you can watch the film in various resolutions including Ultra High Definition, Full High Definition and Standard Definition.
Informing fans about the film’s ‘free’ release on Prime Video, Sidharth took to his Instagram to share a poster of Yodha. “When danger approaches, courage increases,” he wrote along with the post. Not only him, Dharma Productions head Karan Johar also shared Yodha’s poster in the Stories section.
About Yoda
This film will feature Ronit Roy of Adaalat fame as Sid’s father. The film is based on the story of the journey of special officer Arun Katyal (Sidharth Malhotra), who would do anything to save India from terrorists, but it is tough due to the political ecosystem.
The film was directed by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha. Yodha will also mark another collaborative project between Amazon Prime Video, Mentor Disciple Entertainment and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
Film Review
Indian TV’s Aseem Sharma, in his review of Sidharth Malhotra’s lead performance, wrote, “Overall, Yodha is a good watch and you will once again love Sidharth Malhotra as the man in uniform. He might have been better at playing the lover in the film, but since Yodha focuses more on the action, you can certainly ignore that association. It is also filled with many twists and turns that will keep you in suspense.”
