Billie Piper, Johnny Flynn and Luke Thompson join Andrew Scott and Olivia Colman in director Simon Stone’s cast elsinore Studiocanal as the project begins filming in the UK.
Additional cast members include Monica Dolan, Juliet Stevenson, Joe Locke, Adeel Akhtar, Matthew Beard, David Dawson, Kadif Kirwan, Dickie Boe and Peter Mullan.
Filming is taking place across the UK, and reportedly will also be filmed in Italy.
elsinore The film follows the true story of actor Ian Charleson as he prepares to perform Hamlet at the National Theater in London. Stephen Beresford wrote the script.
It is produced by Studiocanal, Lucky Red, Magnolia Mae Films and LD Entertainment. Studiocanal distributes films in many territories, including the UK and Ireland, and also handles international sales.
