EU Commission examining concerns over childlike sexual images generated by Elon Musk’s Grok

The European Commission has announced that it is investigating a case of sexually suggestive and explicit images of young girls generated by Grok, an AI chatbot integrated into social media platform X. introduction A paid feature known as “Spicy Mode” was added last summer.

“I can confirm from this podium that the Commission is also considering this issue very seriously,” a European Commission spokesperson told reporters in Brussels on Monday.

“This is not ‘spicy’. This is illegal. This is appalling. This is disgusting. This has no place in Europe.”

On Sunday, in response to growing outrage and alarm over the image, the social media platform announced it had removed the image from its platform and banned the users involved.

“We take action against illegal content on X, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), by removing it, permanently terminating accounts, and working with local authorities and law enforcement as appropriate,” the X Safety account posted.

A similar investigation has been launched France, Malaysia and India.
