The first look of Telugu superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni from Sekhar Kammul’s upcoming directorial Kubera was unveiled on Thursday. For the first time on May 2, the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals was shown on screens. It features veteran actor Nagarjuna standing in a downpour with an umbrella and in an atmosphere of mystery. He is surrounded by trucks full of liquid cash, symbolizing the title of Kubera’s film. In the poster, he is boldly dressed in a blue shirt and pants, and at first glance he is wearing glasses. Earlier, Dhanush’s first look from the film was revealed and it received an stimulating response from the audience. In the poster, Dhanush is dressed as a beggar, sporting a hefty beard and sullied clothes.

Kuber also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Jim Sarbh in significant roles. Jointly produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Cinemas and Amigos Creations Private Confined, the film is being shot simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
The film also marks Dhanush’s first collaboration with the director. Sekhar Kammula is known for directing popular Telugu films like Godavari, Cheerful Days and Love Story.
Apart from Kubera, Nagarjuna will also be seen in an as-yet-untitled film directed by Mohan Raj. Trisha Krishnan, Radhika Madan, Akhil Akkineni and Vivek Oberoi will also play pivotal roles. According to IMDb, the upcoming film will be based on the story of five assassins: Nagarjuna, Trisha, Vivek, Akhil and Radhika, who discover on board a swift catamaran that their missions have something in common.
