The Department of Energy (DOE) announced on November 18 that it has provided Constellation Energy Generation LLC with a $1 billion loan to restart the Pennsylvania nuclear power plant formerly known as Three Mile Island.
The $1 billion loan will help “reduce energy costs” by restarting a power plant along the Susquehanna River in Londonderry Township, the DOE said in the notice.
