The captain is currently the most successful player in IPL 2024 and on Wednesday, he overtook Virat Kohli to win the Orange Cap. Gaikwad scored 62 against Punjab Kings and currently has 509 runs in 10 matches. Virat Kohli has 500 runs in 10 matches.
After CSK lost the match against PBKS despite Gaikwad’s performance, some fans started insulting Gaikwad because he surpassed Kohli to win the Orange Cap. But he also received support from some fans.
After Lucknow Super Giants stormed into Chepauk, CSK’s stronghold was breached for the second time this season as CSK’s bowlers struggled to find their rhythm and the dew made it much more arduous for them to play throughout the night.
