Ten games into the 2025 season, the New England Patriots have already doubled their win total from 2024. Last season, the Patriots finished with a record of 4 wins and 13 losses. Heading into Week 11, 2025 New England is 8-2.
Drake Maye, in his second year as a pro, is playing at an MVP level, and the team is more consistent with Mike Vrabel as head coach. On Thursday Night Football in Week 11, the Patriots will play at home against the New York Jets, who are 2-7. The team will be without two key offensive players. LaMondre Stephenson and Kayson Boutte are out with injuries.

To begin 2025, LaMondre Stephenson will be the Patriots’ starting running back. He missed his second consecutive game with New England due to a toe injury. NFL officials have already said the 27-year-old will miss Week 11’s game against the Jets with TNF. He will miss his third consecutive game with the Patriots. Rookie running back Treveillon Henderson started while Stephenson was out. The second-round pick made a breakthrough in Week 10 against the Buccaneers.
Henderson finished with a career-high 147 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns on 14 carries. His previous high was 75 rushing yards in Week 8. Trevellon Henderson appears to be the Patriots’ RB1 of the future. However, NFL sources have reported that the team will turn to veteran LaMondre Stephenson once he is healthy. New England could second-guess their decision if Henderson gets off to another strong start against the Jets.

Additionally, the Patriots will be without third-year wide receiver Kason Butte in Week 11. He missed the first game of the 2025 season in Week 10 due to a hamstring injury. Boot started 13 games and appeared in 15 games for the Patriots in 2024. The former sixth-round pick finished the season with 43 catches for 589 yards and three touchdowns. Nine games into the 2025 season, Cason Boot has 23 catches for 431 yards and five touchdowns.
The 23-year-old will now have a more efficient start to 2025. He’s a big threat for Drake Maye, who is 13-17 on passes of 20 yards or more through the air. Cason Boot has received many of these deep passes. Unfortunately, Boutte will miss his second straight game due to a hamstring injury sustained in Week 11. New England still has Stefon Diggs, Demario Douglas, Mack Hollins, and Kyle Williams.
